how it works
An Elevator Bucket is an essential part of a Bucket Elevator system, used to lift and convey bulk materials vertically.
1.Material Loading:At the base of the elevator (called the boot section), the buckets scoop up the material from the inlet hopper. The material can be grains, powders, granules, or small solids depending on the application.
2.Vertical Lifting:The buckets are attached to a moving belt or chain that runs vertically inside a closed casing.
As the belt moves upward, the filled buckets carry the material smoothly to the top without spillage.
3.Material Discharge:At the top (the head section), the buckets pass over a pulley or sprocket, where the material is discharged either by centrifugal force (in high-speed elevators) or gravity (in slow-speed elevators).
The discharged material flows through the outlet chute into silos, hoppers, or conveyors.
4.Return Path:After emptying, the buckets travel back down empty along the other side of the elevator casing, ready to be refilled — ensuring continuous operation.
